NotesGoing all the way back to September 2006 we find Link to another review Bruichladdich 10, a classic introduction to the non-peat beasts of Islay.
SmellMild and lemony with a light sugary candy flavor. Light and clean.
TasteOpens sharp and tight, light malt and a light citrus flavor along with a few traces of vanilla and a lot of fruit in the build. Not especially broad, but it does have a very nice feel and flow to it. Very clean overall, very nice balance about it. A good summery drink, lower 70s.

Tasting # 34: Archive Review: Bruichladdich 10 YO  (20-SEP-2006)
NotesArchived Review
SmellSalty and dry, not a lot of big scents. Some alcohol is clearly lingering
TasteSalt, sherry and a bit of the Islay iodine flavor, but not nearly enough to drop points. There's a bit of bite, but beyond the salt and citrus flavor it's not that noticeable. The finish isn't long and it lacks something in the warmth to burn ratio, probably from being a 10 year old. I ranked this as a decent whisky (mid 70s);, but it gets some 'change of pace' points when I'm shopping. I often quite enjoy something as a change up from my admitted Spey/Highlander focus.
