Tasting # 379: More cream from the Irish  (10-AUG-2009)
NotesThe Irish love their creamy liqueurs, apparently, and this one is... a taste experience to rival the greatest... no not really. It's yet another Irish Cream with a few new twists that really amount to footnotes. It is, and I hate to use this term over and over, a check in the box. Sorry.

Bottle is ok. Nothing outrageous.
SmellHerbal, which is a nice surprise. Almost minty. The very top smells like honey cough drops, take that however you might. There's more of a milk than a cream base in the nose.
TasteNot exactly the same overall as every other Irish Cream, by which I mean it's 80% what you'd expect with a few odd flavors. The cream base very whipped cream, quite sweet. Lemon candy in the build then it goes all herbal and vegetative. Celery, toast, mocha. Fades ok, no real finish and no great whisky base either. It's... interesting enough. Not a horrible alternative to the standard Baileys, I guess.
